Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and detailed accounts in Tally. Ensure records are up-to-date and in compliance with accounting standards. GST Compliance: Expertly manage GST filing, including the preparation and submission of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.), ensuring all tax obligations are met in a timely manner. Handle GST reconciliations between sales and purchase data. Taxation: Keep up to date with tax regulations, specifically GST-related changes. Provide support for tax audits and ensure compliance with tax laws, including the preparation of tax returns and tax planning. Money Management: Monitor cash flow, manage liquidity, and handle fund allocation efficiently. Assist in preparing financial budgets and forecasts, ensuring that cash flow is optimized, and adequate resources are available for business operations. Advanced Excel Reporting: Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, macros, Power Query, and data validation) to create financial reports, forecasts, and budgets. Automate routine tasks and enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial metrics using Tally and Excel. Reconciliation: Conduct bank reconciliations, ensure accurate alignment of books with bank statements, and reconcile accounts payable/receivable. Month-End/Year-End Closing: Support in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring that all entries are accurate, tax liabilities are calculated, and financial statements are prepared. Expense Control: Review expenses to ensure they are within the allocated budget. Assist in cost analysis and finding opportunities for financial optimization. Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory accounting, ensuring that inventory valuations are accurate and align with financial reporting. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial data, reconciling accounts, and supporting audit documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience, with a focus on Tally and Excel, and an in-depth understanding of GST regulations. Proficiency in Tally: Strong knowledge of Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime, with extensive experience in configuring, managing, and reporting financial data. Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP, data analysis, and formulae. Ability to handle large datasets and automate reporting tasks. GST Expertise: Deep understanding of GST laws and hands-on experience with GST return filing, GST reconciliation, and compliance. Money Management Skills: Strong understanding of cash flow management, financial planning, budgeting, and effective cost control. Attention to Detail: Ability to work meticulously with large volumes of financial data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Analytical & Reporting Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to present financial reports and liaise with internal teams, vendors, and government agencies. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to Tally, Excel, and financial discrepancies quickly and efficiently. Desirable Skills: Certification in accounting (e.g., CA, CPA, or ACCA) is a plus. Knowledge of additional accounting software or ERP systems. Experience in handling large-scale financial projects or managing departmental budgets. Prior experience in managing inventory accounting or managing cash flow for a growing business.
